OTHER GROUPS AND PROJECTS

Alongside the groups you can join, we work with a large number of partners and commissioners to create ongoing projects and programmes which include:

Music on the Water is a project in partnership with Asperger’s East Anglia and the Nancy Oldfield Trust where over the summer months we make music on motor boats whilst sailing on the Norfolk Broads!

Our Outreach Service exists for us to be able to work with those that cannot access any of our public facing groups and projects. We currently work with a number of individual’s across the county alongside several groups such as the Ukrainian community supported by Dereham Aid Centre.

Through our In Time, Together programme we work in 13 care homes in Norfolk providing fortnightly group music sessions. Our partnership with Norwich Theatre, ‘A Life in Music’, brings those living with dementia in the community to meet for a two hour session of song-writing and performance at the theatre.

We have worked with Vision Norfolk for many years, working on a regular basis with a group of visually impaired children and young people.

In 2023 we started providing a weekly whole day of activities at Thornage Hall, currently consisting of music making and drama with a focus on making work to be performed at various events and celebrations at Thornage Hall.

We work in many special and mainstream schools, mostly with the provision of music therapy in small groups and 1:1. Some of those schools and trusts include Parkside School, Bridge Trust Academy, Heart Education Trust, Acorns Preschool, Norwich Primary Academy, Swaffham Primary Academy and Sheringham Community Primary.

We are commissioned by many providers of Alternative Education or therapy centres including Lapwing Education and Earthsea House.

We work with vulnerable prisoners as part of a long term wellbeing project at HMP Norwich.

Our Children’s Health and Wellbeing programme provides regular music making activities both in person and virtually at all of East Anglian Children’s Hospices sites, and at the Rudham Ward at QEH, King’s Lynn.

We have started an exciting pilot project with Headway in King’s Lynn with the ambition of it becoming another ongoing collaboration for 2024.
